MANILA, Philippines — University of Perpetual Help has tapped longtime assistant Mike Saguiguit as the new head coach of its men’s basketball team.
Anton Tamayo, the school board’s liaison officer in charge of the athletic program, made Saguiguit’s appointment official on Tuesday night.
The 46-year-old Saguiguit replaced Frankie Lim, who resigned last September after calling the shots for the Altas the past two seasons.Saguiguit had been serving as the team’s interim coach since Lim’s departure.
