MMDA: Metro Manila to have shortened curfew hours starting May 1

MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila will have shortened curfew hours from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. starting May 1, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said Wednesday.

MMDA chairman Benhur Abalos said local chief executives of the metropolis approved and signed a resolution adjusting the curfew hours from the previous 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

“All local chief executives in Metro Manila have agreed to enact their respective Executive Orders and/or adopt their respective Ordinances for the proper implementation of the standardized and unified curfew hours,” the resolution read, as quoted by Abalos in a statement.
