Military camp eyed as vaccination site in Isabela province

GAMU, Isabela —- Doctors of the Isabela provincial health office on Monday inspected the Army’s 5th Infantry Division facilities as a possible vaccination site for the rollout of Sinovac vaccines from China.

Major Jekyll Julian Dulawan, 5th Infantry Division (ID) spokesperson and public affairs chief, said government soldiers and other priority groups would be among the vaccine recipients.

In an interview with the Inquirer on Monday, Dulawan said the 5th ID has started preparing for the vaccines’ arrival, although its cold storage facility might not be enough for the vaccines.

Local hospitals will also be tapped for storage.
