MANILA, Philippines — From 30 to 40 percent in April, Metro Manila now accounts for only 13 percent of active COVID-19 case nationwide, the Department of Health (DOH) said Monday.

“Nakikita natin ngayon na ang NCR ay talagang bumababa na. Its share of cases in the totality of cases in the country is just about 13 percent na lang ngayon,” Health Undersecretary and spokesperson Maria Rosario Vergeire said in an online press briefing.

(The NCR’s share of cases is decreasing. Its share in the totality of cases in the country is just about 13 percent now.)
