MANILA, Philippines—Skateboarder Margielyn Didal officially secured her spot in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by virtue of her place in the sport’s world rankings.
World Skate, the international governing body for all roller skating sports, announced on Thursday the skateboarders who would compete in the Tokyo Games and Didal was one of the 20 female athletes chosen for the street event.
Margielyn Didal’s Tokyo Olympics qualification is OFFICIAL, as announced by World Skate. She is competing in the street event.

Didal is the no.17 female street skater in the world in World Skate’s rankings.
