Manila allows walk-ins in vaccination sites anew after low turnout

MANILA, Philippines — The Manila City Government on Monday allowed walk-in appointments on all vaccination sites following a low turnout on the first day of its implementation.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno went to Robinson Manila to check the situation. He eventually allowed walk-ins to get vaccinated upon seeing an almost empty vaccination area.

It is not yet clear, however, how long the walk-in appointments would last.

Local government said out of 28,000 allocated doses, only 4,210 have attended their appointment in 22 vaccination sites as of 3:30 pm.
