Man wanted for sex crimes in Bahrain falls in Cavite

MANILA, Philippines — A Bahraini national wanted for sex crimes in his country has been arrested in Cavite, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported Thursday.

BI Commissioner Jaime Morente said 43-year-old Alsendi Waleed Abdulla Hamad was arrested in Barangay San Francisco in Dasmarias City, Cavite on February 23, Tuesday.

Morente said he issued a mission order for Hamad’s arrest after the Department of Justice (DOJ) instructed the BI to verify the presence and status of the Bahraini national in the Philippines and, if warranted, to initiate deportation proceedings against him.
