A man from Tioga County, New York, in the United States was rescued by New York State Police after being stranded in his car for more than 10 hours due to an overnight snowstorm.
Kevin Kresen, 58, was suffering from hypothermia and frostbite when he was discovered by Zone Sergeant Jason Cawley of Troop C, according to a press release by the New York State Police Newsroom on Thursday, Dec. 17. His car had no heating due to a broken serpentine belt.
Cawley had contacted Tioga County 911 in the morning of Dec. 17 to check if there were any pending emergency calls due to the snowstorm.
