MANILA, Philippines — A majority of personnel from Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) said they are willing to get inoculated against coronavirus disease, the Department of the Interior and Local Government said Friday.
Citing a survey conducted during a town hall meeting on the vaccine, DILG spokesman Jonathan Malaya said “84% of the fire and jail officers in Luzon are ready to get a COVID-19 vaccine; 12% are not sure, and only 4% are not likely to get vaccinated.”
Meanwhile, Malaya said the fire and prison personnel will disseminate accurate information on vaccination benefits.
