MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck the waters off Davao Occidental on Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The earthquake occurred 1:14 a.m. at 246 kilometers southeast of the municipality of Jose Abad Santos.
Phivolcs said that the tremor was of tectonic origin, and had a 128-kilometer depth of focus.
No aftershocks or damage was expected from the earthquake, Phivolcs added.
