MANILA, Philippines — Leyte 4th District Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez said Tuesday she is “open” to running for a senatorial post in the 2022 national elections, but added that it is not part of a “grand plan.”
Torres-Gomez, a member of the ruling Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), made the remark amid the fast-approaching local and national polls next year.
“Nothing of what I have or where I am in terms of my life in public service was ever part of a big plan or a great roadmap. I just move like water,” Torres-Gomez said in an interview with ABS-CBN News Channel’s Headstart.
