MANILA, Philippines — The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) announced on Tuesday that train operations for Light Rail Transit 1 (LRT-1) will be suspended for two weekends, from April 17 to 18, and April 24 to 25.
The LRMC said the temporary shutdown will allow the completion of the remaining maintenance and rehabilitation works that started during the Holy Week.
“The works to be carried out during this period would cover the maintenance of trains, stations, and various systems including the scheduled replacement of overhead catenary wires,” LRMC said in a statement.
