MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) east southeast of Davao City may cross Mindanao or the southern portion of Visayas, bringing rains in its path and onto the Bicol and Mimaropa regions, the state weather bureau said Wednesday.

The LPA, which entered the Philippine area of responsibility on Tuesday afternoon, was last spotted 895 kilometers east southeast of Davao City, based on the weather update issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) at 4 a.m.
