Local transmission: COVID-19 hits households, church in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—At least two households and a church in this province were hit by COVID-19 with more than eight people getting sick, officials said on Thursday (May 20).

According to Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, four members of a family in Subic town were among the latest to test positive for SARS Cov2, the highly contagious coronavirus that causes COVID-19, a disease that has yet no known cure.

All of them, including children aged 5 and 6, were exposed to a relative who was carrying the virus.

In Candelaria town, a man had infected his wife and daughter.

An elderly woman in Botolan town had also acquired the virus after getting exposed to her virus…
