Lanao del Norte village placed under lockdown

LINAMON, Lanao del Norte—The local government of Lala town in Lanao del Norte has imposed a lockdown in its main commercial district after health authorities recorded 38 active cases as of Thursday.

The lockdown in Maranding village is effective from May 28 until June 11, based on an order of Mayor Angel Yap.

Maranding is the trading hub of Lala and several other neighboring towns. It hosts the town’s public market, several hospitals, department stores and tertiary schools.
