MANILA, Philippines — The Laguna provincial police formed the Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) Perez to investigate the fatal shooting of Los Baos Mayor Caesar Perez on Thursday night.
“May kinreate na SITG ang Laguna PPO [Laguna Police Provincial office] (Laguna police already created a task force),” Police Lieutenant Bicomong Elfredo, public information office chief of Laguna police provincial office, said in a phone interview with INQUIRER.net.
Perez was shot two times in the head inside the municipal hall at 8:45 p.m., according to initial police reports.
