ITCZ still affects Visayas, Mindanao, says state weather bureau

MANILA, Philippines — Residents from Visayas and Mindanao, and in some parts of Southern Luzon provinces can expect cloudy skies and isolated rains due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), state meteorologists said on Monday afternoon.

Satellite images from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) showed that cloud clusters carrying rains are moving over the areas mentioned — from Mimaropa down to Central and Eastern Visayas, and Mindanao.

But for the rest of the country including Metro Manila, the easterlies are still prevalent and would continue to bring hot and humid weather conditions.
