GENERAL SANTOS CITY—A village chief of a town in Sarangani province was shot and killed by motorcycle-riding assailants on Wednesday (Dec. 9) on a busy street here, according to police.
Isedrito P. Caete, 56, chair of Glan Padidu village of Glan, Sarangani and ex-officio town councilor of Glan, was shot by motorcycle-riding gunmen near the village of Lagao at 10 a.m., said Maj. Rommel Constantino, Lagao police station chief.
Lagao said the gunmen had been tailing the village chief’s Toyota Fortuner minutes before the attack.
