MANILA, Philippines —The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) asked President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Leni Robredo to have “a more coordinated, effective and sustainable solution” to the killing of lawyers in the country.
“We appeal to our brother-lawyers in all branches of government who occupy positions of great authority and power to take concerted action to decisively address attacks on lawyers,” IBP President Domingo Cayosa said in a letter sent to Duterte and Robredo dated Dec. 17 and released to mediaon Tuesday.
