MANILA, Philippines — A huge part of the country is expected to have hot and humid weather over the weekend as only select areas in Visayas and Mindanao may experience rains due to isolated thunderstorms and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).
Weather reports from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Friday showed that the ITCZ still affects the southern portion of Mindanao, while high moisture content may bring rains over Eastern Visayas.
But for the rest of the country, especially northern Luzon which is affected by a ridge of high pressure, rains would be hard to come by.
