Hot, humid weather expected on Black Saturday in Luzon; rainy Mindanao due to LPA — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Hot and humid days are expected to continue well into Black Saturday as the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean prevail, while Mindanao may see isolated rain showers due to the low pressure area (LPA).

Weather updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) showed that the LPA has not dissipated yet, now located 30 kilometers east of Zamboanga City.

It is still not expected to turn into a tropical cyclone, but it may cause cloudy skies and rains especially on the western and southern side of Mindanao, and over southern Palawan.
