MANILA, Philippines — Amid concerns over the diminishing amount of fish caught in Zambales, Senator Risa Hontiveros on Wednesday urged the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) to account for the profit loss of fisherfolks due to China’s presence in the West Philippine Sea.
“Magkano ba ang nawawala sa atin dahil hindi tayo makapangisda nang malaya?” Hontiveros asked BFAR in a statement.
