MANILA, Philippines — A gun battle between police and criminals ensued in Laguna on Thursday afternoon following the reported abduction of a Chinese national in Paraaque City.
According to a police report from the Laguna Provincial Command (PTOC) released at 4:17 p.m. Thursday, agents of the Philippine National Police’s Regional Intelligence Division’s Anti-Carnapping Unit received an alert about a Chinese national forcibly taken by a “notorious robbery and kidnapping group” aboard a white van at Aseana, Paraaque City.
