The iconic Japanese anime franchise “Gundam” is set to be adapted into a live-action flick under the helm of “Kong: Skull Island” director Jordan Vogt-Roberts.
The filmmaker has teamed up with Legendary Entertainment to bring the giant mecha suits to the big screen, which is currently operating under the working title “Gundam,” as per Varietyyesterday, April 12.
Legendary’s Cale Boyter is overseeing the project along with Sunrise, the Japanese anime studio behind the beloved “Gundam” franchise. Renowned comic book writer Brian Vaughan is, meanwhile, working on the screenplay and is also the executive producer.
