MANILA, Philippines—A benefit concert on Dec. 12 seeks to raise funds for civilians and troops in the West Philippine Sea.
The National Youth Movement for the West Philippine Sea (NYMPS) partnered with OPM singer Jun Polistico, an Aliw Award Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, to serenade an online audience here and abroad, said Dr. Celia Lamkin,founder of NYMPS, a nongovernment group advocating Philippine sovereignty.
Proceeds of the concert will go to fishermen, residents of Pag-asa island in Kalayaan Island Group, Pag-asa Health Center and troops manning the BRP Sierra Madre at Ayungin (Second Thomas) Shoal in the West Philippine Sea, Lamkin toldInquirer….
