TV host Gretchen Ho feels extremely proud of the bike community which has sprouted in Quezon City. Ho spoke about it during the recent Bike For Livelihood event in the city, as per her Instagram post yesterday, July 4.
“Did you know? Over the pandemic, Quezon City gained over 93 [kilometers] in bike lanes, 90 newly-hired bike patrollers under the ‘Green Transport Office,’ and has been working with cycling advocates like Bikers United Movement (the one who setup the bike community pantry in Commonwealth) to improve bike initiatives in the city, and that’s just phase 1,” she said.
