MARAWI CITY—Fire destroyed a structure that served as a temporary school building here late on Thursday (Feb. 18), according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
The fire broke out around 6 p.m. in the structure that served as a temporary building of Dansalan National High School inside a resettlement site for more than 2,000 families who lost their homes during the war between terrorists and government forces in Marawi City in 2017.
FO2 Japar Macalaba said the fire was put under control after 20 minutes by firefighters from the Lanao del Sur provincial government and Saguiaran town.
