This was the question frequently asked by everyone after missing the PVL on Tour and her name being absent in the Farm Fresh roster that would suit up in the Invitational unfolding on Monday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Farm Fresh Foxies management was quiet about the tall, talented 30-year-old Fil-Am’s whereabouts that many felt should deal a big blow to their campaign.
Ms. Robins-Hardy had shown how impactful she was when present after powering Farm Fresh to a breakthrough semifinal finish in the PVL All-Filipino Conference last April.
The Foxies wound up fourth after falling to the PLDT High Speed Hitters in the battle for third place but that setback didn’t take the joy out of posting the former’s best performance since joining the league three years ago.
They won two of their three outings in the PVL on Tour after picking up another battle-scarred setter Iris Tolenada to help back up Louie Romero, who accounted herself well in the absence of Ms. Robins-Hardy.
They could’ve finished well though if Ms. Robins-Hardy played.
For insurance, Farm Fresh has tapped a third setter in Ela Marjanna Raagas.
Nonetheless, the Foxies should remain determined to sustain their recent gains under the tutelage of champion Japanese coach Koji Tsuzurabara, the emergence of Trisha Tubu and the renaissance of veterans in Ces Molina, Riri Meneses, Royse Tubino, Ara Galang and Mylene Paat. — Joey Villar
