MANILA, Philippines–The Facebook APAC Legal Law Enforcement Outreach has removed the pages responsible for tagging Facebook users, the Department of Justice’s Office of Cybercrime (OOC) said Wednesday.
“The administrators [of the pages with adult content responsible for tagging users] were sanctioned,” the Department of Justice’s Office of Cybercrime said in a statement.
The DOJ’s OOC made the statement after receiving confirmation from Facebook. The OOC raised the matter to Facebook after reports reached their office that netizens have been tagged to posts containing links with adult content.
