MANILA, Philippines — At least two senators on Thursday urged National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-Eclac) vice-chairman Hermogenes Esperon Jr. to review the 1987 Constitution in deciding whether its controversial spokesman, Lt. Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. should retain his post in a civilian organization.
Parlade came under fire for his controversial remarks which have been deemed as red-tagging, resulting in many sectors to call for his resignation from or removal as spokesperson of the government’s counter-insurgency task force.
