MANILA, Philippines — Occidental Mindoro was jolted by a 4.3-magnitude quake on Friday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The earthquake was recorded at 1:12 p.m., 37 kilometers southwest of Paluan, Occidental Mindoro, Phivolcs said in its latest bulletin.
It was measured at Instrumental Intensity II in Calatagan, Batangas and Tagaytay City, and Instrumental Intensity I in Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro.
The tectonic quake had a depth of 17 km, Phivolcs said.
No damage or aftershocks are expected, Phivolcs added.
