MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte and his Cabinet approved the proposed P3.52-billion additional budget for the implementation of the national ID system for 2021, Malacaang said Wednesday.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the additional funds will be used to register 20 million more individuals to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) by the end of 2021. This is on top of the 50 million target registration.
