MANILA, Philippines — China will donate another 400,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to the Philippines, President Rodrigo Duterte announced Thursday.
“China would give us another 400 [thousand] making their donation to this country 1 million,” Duterte said during the inauguration of school buildings in Valenzuela City. He did not mention the brand that would be donated.
Duterte did not mention what vaccine brand would be donated this time.The Chinese government previously donated to the country 600,000 doses of Sinovac’s COVID-19 vaccine, CoronaVac.
These jabs were used to launch the Philippines’ vaccination program against COVID-19 last March 1.
