MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) reminded commuters on Tuesday that the trains servicing Metro Manila and nearby provinces will follow maintenance schedules during the Holy Week and will be closed at certain times.
According to a DOTr advisory posted on Facebook, the four railway systems — Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT 1) and Line 2 (LRT 2), the Metro Rail Transit (MRT 3), and the Philippine National Railways (PNR) — will stop operating at certain times from Holy Tuesday to Easter Sunday — that is, from March 30 to April 4.
