MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) released on Wednesday the holiday pay rules for Thursday for the observance of Eid’l Fitr, or the culmination of the month-long fasting of Muslims for Ramadan.
Labor Advisory No. 11 Series of 2021 stated that if the employee did not work on the said date, he or she shall be paid 100 percent of his or her wage, subject to certain requirements under the implementing rules and regulations of the Labor Code.
For work done during the holiday, the employee should be paid a total of 200 percent of his or her wage for the first eight hours of duty.
