MANILA, Philippines — Total COVID-19 cases in the country rose to 193,476 on Friday as health authorities report additional 10,726 coronavirus cases.
According to DOH, the country has so far recorded a total of 914,971 COVID-19 cases since the first case detected in January last year.
Meanwhile, 650 more people have recovered, raising the number of patients who have survived the disease to 705,757. The DOH said recoveries represent 77.1 percent of the tally.
However, there were additional 145 deaths, which puts the death toll to 15,738 or 1.72 percent of the total case count.
