MANILA, Philippines — The bulk of the recently delivered two million doses of COVID-19 vaccine developed by British-Swede drug firm AstraZeneca will go to Metro Manila and four adjacent provinces, otherwise known as the “NCR Plus bubble,” the Department of Health (DOH) said Monday.
Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said the government is ready to deploy the vaccines on Monday with the allocations in regions already decided upon.
She said the NCR Plus bubble has the biggest allocation of AstraZeneca vaccines, with about 500,000 doses or about 25% dedicated to Metro Manila.
