CITY OF SAN FERNANDO—At least 300,818 young students in Central Luzon schools started getting breads for 60 days while 473,331 others got milk for 50 days to improve their health during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Department of Education (DepEd) on Wednesday (Dec. 9).
The recipients of the school-based feeding program are enrolled in public kindergarten and elementary schools. Found to be in poor health, they have been categorized as “wasted” or “severely wasted.”
