MANILA, Philippines — A total of 1,546 local government units (LGUs) nationwide have declared members of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) as persona non grata in their localities, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said Friday.
In a statement, Interior Secretary Eduardo Ao said that out of the 1,715 LGUs nationwide, 1,546 of these — namely 64 provinces, 110 cities and 1,372 municipalities — have passed resolutions declaring members of the group as persona non grata.
