MANILA, Philippines — COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in Quezon City have breached the 1 million mark, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte announced Wednesday.

Belmonte said the number was reached Tuesday night with the city’s sustained administration of vaccine second doses.

“I am very happy to announce, and this is the first time I am announcing this too, that the Quezon City Government has already reached one million, that was as of last night,” said Belmonte over CNN Philippines when asked about the latest on the LGU’s vaccination of first and second doses.

“This is because of the second doses we have been administering,” she added.
