MANILA, Philippines — The reproductive rate (Ro) in Quezon City went up to 1.54, which means the number of average people expected to contract the virus has increased, the city government said Thursday.
In a statement, Dr. Rolly Cruz, head of the City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CESU), said that QC’s Ro increased to 1.54 on December 20 from 1.50 recorded three days earlier.
Cruz said the World Health Organization (WHO) recommended an ideal number of 0.50 for Ro.
Meanwhile, the city’s positivity rate also increased to an average of eight percent from December 14 to 20. This went up from the six percent positivity rate recorded for the duration of December 7 to Dec. 13…
