COVID-19 reproduction number in NCR down to 1.16 — OCTA

MANILA, Philippines — The COVID-19 reproduction number in Metro Manila decreased to 1.16 for the previous week as OCTA Research notes a downward trend of new coronavirus cases in Pasay, Manila, Marikina, Taguig, and Mandaluyong.

The latest reproduction number covers April 9 to 15, based on the monitoring report released by OCTA Research on Friday.

“The average number of new COVID-19 cases reported per day in the NCR (National Capital Region) was 5,085 over the past week, with a one-week growth rate of -0.4%,” the research group added.
