LUCENA CITY — Quezon 3rd District Representative Aleta Suarez announced on social media that she tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), two days after her husband, Governor Danilo Suarez also contracted the highly-contagious illness.
The congresswoman made the announcement herself in a notice posted by the Quezon public information office on its Facebook at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, May 8.
Aleta said she submitted herself to reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test on May 6 as part of the protocol of being her husband’s close contact.
