COVID-19 cases in Quezon province continues to decline

LUCENA CITY —- The number of active coronavirus disease (C)VID-19) cases in Quezon province continued to decline, with 23 of the 27 localities having single-digit figures, a report from the Integrated Provincial Health Office on Friday showed.

In its 10 a.m. bulletin, the IPHO disclosed that the number of active virus carriers in Quezon was down to 126, from 171 on March 1.

The highest tally of 1,119 active cases in the twice-a-day count was recorded on Nov. 12 last year.

Only the cities of Tayabas and Lucena and the towns of Calauag and Tiaong have double-digit active cases.

Tayabas still has 15 active cases, Lucena has 13, Calauag has 12, and Tiaong has 11.
