MANILA, Philippines —Five out of 150 hospitals in Metro Manila were placed under critical level in terms ofbedcapacitysolely for COVID-19 patients, data from the Department of Health (DOH) as of February 24 showed.
This figure increased from three recorded as “critical” last Feb. 19, consisting of 149 hospitals.
Of the hospitals under “critical” level, only theMary Chiles General Hospital Inc. has reached 100 percentbedoccupancy.
The DOH classifies occupancy levels for COVID-19bedsin health centers as either critical, high risk, moderate, and safe.
