CITY OF CALAPAN—At least 100 medical doctors and workers in Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital were the first to get injected with CoronaVac, a vaccine for coronavirus, at the start of the province’s vaccination program on Monday (March 8).
Oriental Mindoro Gov. Humerlito Dolor led the event with Department of Health (DOH) Center for Health and Development regional director Mario Baquilod, according to the provincial information office.
Last Friday (March 5), 2,640 doses of CoronaVac, which were made by the Chinese firm Sinovac and donated by the Chinese government, were turned over by the DOH to the provincial government.
