CLARK FREEPORT —- The Clark International Airport (CRK) is getting a new control tower and a ground lighting system, as two winning bidders started work this month, a top official of the Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) said.
MSV Construction won the bid to build the P290-million control tower project, while Evercon Builders and Equipment Corp. bagged the award for the P491-million lighting system, CIAC president Aaron Aquino said in a statement on Tuesday.
“These [projects] are expected to improve Clark’s air traffic control system as the new passenger terminal building of the [CRK] is expected to be fully operational within the year,” Aquino said.
