MANILA, Philippines — Southern parts of the country would continue to experience cloudy skies and isolated rain showers due to cloud bands brought by the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), state meteorologists said on Friday afternoon.
Reports from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) showed that the ITCZ still lingers over the Visayas, and affects Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, and most of Visayas and Mindanao.
Rains are expected in some areas even if no low-pressure area or tropical cyclone affects the country’s weather systems.
