Cavite cops nab 209 COVID-19 protocol violators

LUCENA CITY —- The Cavite police accosted at least 209 persons, who were allegedly violating health and safety protocols against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The Cavite police information office reported on its Facebook page Wednesday that from Feb. 21 to 23, the violators were not wearing face masks or disregarded the curfew.
The violators paid fines or did community service.
As of Feb. 23, Cavite, which is under modified general community quarantine, has recorded 20,514 COVID-19 cases, with 19,074 recoveries and 564 fatalities.
The province still has 881 virus carriers.
