TACURONG CITY —- A man carrying improvised bombs was killed in a shootout with the police in a village in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat province early on Thursday, Nov. 26.
Corporal Ellrey Dasmarias, personnel of the Tacurong City police station, said the still-unidentified man was driving his motorcycle when flagged down for inspection at a quarantine control checkpoint in ECJ Montilla village around 5:30 a.m.
Instead of obliging the police officers, the man sped away with his motorcycle which bore no license plate.
As several police officers gave him a chase, the man fired at them said Dasmarias.
Eventually, the man was hit as the law enforcers returned fire.
